Recalculating

Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, "This is the way you should go," whether to the right or to the left. Isaiah 30:21

Detour - a roundabout way or course, used temporarily when the main route is closed.

What path did God set you on when you were first saved? Are you still on that path? Sometimes life gives us detours, but they are only temporary. What God spoke to you still stands. What He called you to do, where He called you to do it, and every promise in His Word stands forever. He NEVER speaks without something happening.

It is the same with My Word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. Isaiah 55:11

It is the work of our flesh and our own desires if we do something other than what God calls us to do. It's not up to us to decide, He already has our plans written in His Book.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:16

Being uncomfortable is not an excuse. Our objections do not void His plans. Only our obedience to His plans bring us fulfillment, joy, abundance, peace, comfort, and satisfaction. If you feel like you have been detoured, re-visit what you heard God call you to do and recalculate your GPS to get back on the main route God placed you on. If you don't feel like you've heard Him, then ask Him. If you feel like He is redirecting you then you should feel His peace about where you are going. He will tell you when to turn right or left, don't listen to anyone else or even yourself because it may not always be something you want to do. Trust Him.
