Re-purposed!

I love Junk! I inherited a love for junk. My Granny, my mama, my aunt, we all love to "scrounge" for treasure. (Scrounge is just a country word for forage, rummage, or hunt) :) We all know that one man's trash is another man's treasure! I like to find junk that other people would throw out or look over and re-purpose it into something new and beautiful.
This caddy is my latest and favorite (at the moment). This is what it looked like when I found it at the Habitat for Humanity Re-store.

Right before I went into the store I prayed for creativity, to see things in a new way. Our God is THE CREATOR, there is no-one with more creativity than Him and as His children, all of His resources are available to us!
I guess the bottles used to hold some sort of tonic and I'm not sure about the caddy, it's heavy and may not be too old but when the three ended up my basket I immediately had a vision for them together. The large bottle holds dish detergent and the smaller one holds hand soap. I picked up some small tubing from Home Depot and connected the tubing to some pumps from old hand soap bottles. I've also done this with old soda bottles too. I now have a one of a kind kitchen caddy!
Before I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was an old creature, I had my own agenda and my own purpose for my life, but God scrounged, foraged, and rummaged and plucked me up and re-purposed my life! And now I am a new creature with a new purpose.
We should celebrate the fact that God made each of us one of a kind, each with our own job to do that He planned for us when He created us.
Even Heaven and Earth will be re-purposed to be all He created it to be!
For see, I am creating new heavens and a new earth—so wonderful that no one will even think about the old ones anymore. Be glad; rejoice forever in my creation. Look! I will re-create Jerusalem as a place of happiness, and her people shall be a joy! And I will rejoice in Jerusalem and in my people; and the voice of weeping and crying shall not be heard there anymore.
If you are unsure of your purpose in this life, ask THE CREATOR Himself to re-purpose you! To take you from what you have tried to make yourself to what He created you to be. You will never regret putting Him in charge of all you do!
