This far

I read a post from Christine Caine recently that gave me a lot of encouragement. You can read it here.
The title was "I Didn't Come This Far, to Only Come This Far". I started thinking about that statement and realized we were all created for so much more than we ever realize.
As God's creation we live far below what He created us to live for. Some people live their entire life never recognizing God as their Creator, and live a life different than what He created them for. Some people accept Jesus as their Savior, but not their Lord, and live a life totally different than what He had planned for them.
I think each of us is created with an instinct to wonder what our purpose in life is but so many of us just decide for ourselves what we were created for instead of seeking the One who created us.
No matter what career we choose, or how much money we make, no matter if we marry our soul mate, or how many children we have, if we are not surrendering our lives to God there will always be some kind of void. Some feeling of being unfulfilled.
If you feel like your life is lacking something, that it's not what you desire it to be, if your relationships are lacking, or your health and emotional well being is lacking, surrender to God and let Him give you the abundance He created you to have.
Have you ever heard the saying, "Don't try to live above your raisin'"?
Well I'm telling you TRY to live above your raisin'!
We didn't come this far to only come this far!
God is ready to take us further than we can ever imagine!
Psalm 139:16 says
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
Let's try to live our best life, the one God has written out in His book, not the one we try to write ourselves.
